A very nice lens. The there are only 2 negatives, and one of those is expected.

1. Cost — $1500.00
2. Weight — it is made of glass

To my amateurs eyes the pictures are very crisp. I can tell I do not know to fully use the capabilities of the lens. For an f2.8 lens, I really need to practice depth of field shots.

As much as I enjoy using the lens, Disney World would not be place to use this lens if photography is not the main endeavor. I would be nervous about banging it up against stuff while going through the parks.

Granted this is a FX lens. Joe Novosel, recommends the 18mm-200mm DX lens for the DX cameras. The would cut down on the number of lenses to use, but those lenses only make it to f3.5 on the low end of the zoom.
